Solution:

As per the static equilibrium of the cantilever,

∑Fy = 0, hence RB = 6 kN,

∑M = 0, hence MB = -6*3 – 12 = -30 kN-m

Shear at x<1.5m , Vx = -6

Moment at x<1.5 m, Mx = -6*x

at x>1.5 m,

Vx = -6 kN

Mx = -6*x -12
